Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) – According to Dr Vodder from £40
On the Menu:
30 mins Express Treatments £40
1 hour of Manual Lymphatic Drainage £85
The Recovery Room – Post Surgery Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) with Assessment 1 hour £85
“Just keeping the flow” (6 sessions for £480, instead of £510)
Dr Emil Vodder (and his wife Estrid) originally developed Manual Lymphatic Drainage in the 1930s as a gentle technique to help with medical conditions like lymphoedema and post surgical swelling. It is evolved since then into different forms and sequences – Brazilian Manual Lymphatic Drainage being one of them.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, rhythmic massage that encourages your lymphatic system to carry away excess fluid. It’s light, soothing and surprisingly relaxing — many people drift off completely. Choose from a lush facial lymphatic drainage massage through to a foot & ankle treatment that drains aways stress and excess fluid. The choice is yours!
Additional machines may be used to optimise and help with stubborn areas. Deep Oscillation and Low Level Laser are our machines of choice. With proven results.
It may help with:
- Swelling and puffiness after surgery or even sports injury
- That heavy, tight, “full” feeling in a limb, joint or tummy
- Recovery after cosmetic or orthopaedic procedures (post -op or a while afterwards due to slow recovery)
- General sluggishness and a wish to feel lighter
- Taking time out to relax, reset and feel properly cared for
Top Tip: It is also perfect before an event or big day, when you want to feel your lightest and most refreshed!
Brazilian Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) with Wood Therapy (Maderotherapy) from £85 – Natural Body Contouring and Sculpting
On the Menu:
“The Portrait” Facial Sculpting (1 hour, £85)
“The Waist Whisperer” (1 hour, 15 mins, £95)
“From the Waist Down” (1 hour, 15 mins, £95)
Brazilian Manual Lymphatic Drainage with Wood Therapy (Maderotherapy) uses firm pressure and is a fast paced treatment. The complete opposite to what you expect with the Traditional Dr Vodder. The focus is more on aesthetic contouring and sculpting, but has the same effect as Traditional MLD for example; improving blood circulation and lymphatic flow.
Maderotherapy or Wood Therapy, has it’s roots in ancient massage traditions from Asia where carved wooden tools were used for healing and easing muscle tension. The modern technique was refined in Colombia in the 1990s, where therapists developed the wooden sculptured instruments used today, each one shaped to work with the body’s natural contours.
Paired with Brazilian Manual Lymphatic Drainage, the wooden tools take things a step further, stimulating circulation, encouraging lymphatic flow, and working more deeply into stubborn areas than hands alone. The two techniques complement each other beautifully. The drainage moves the fluid and the wood works the tissue.
Natural body contouring and sculpting at it best, working through physiology.
Scar Therapy
On the menu:
“New Client – New Beginnings” (1 hour, £85)
The Ultimate Scar Package (six top-up sessions for Scar Therapy for £390 instead of £420)
Scars can stay tight, raised, numb, itchy or strangely “stuck” for months or even years. Specialist scar therapy uses gentle, careful hands-on techniques to help the tissue soften, move and make you feel more like you again.
Additional machines may be used to optimise and help with stubborn areas. Deep Oscillation and Low Level Laser are our machines of choice. With proven results.
It may help with:
- Surgical scars — recent ones (once they’re fully healed) or scars from many years ago
- Scars that feel tight, raised or pull when you move
- Numbness or over-sensitivity around a scar (for example; a c-section scar)
- Feeling more comfortable, and more yours, in a part of your body you might have stopped wanting to touch
Top Tip: you don’t have to wait until it “bothers” you enough. If a scar feels tight, numb or just not quite yours, that’s reason enough to book.

A special interest in feet and ankles
I particularly love working with feet and ankles — after bunion surgery, a tight scar, an Achilles repair, a fracture or a stubborn sprain, where swelling and scarring can linger long after the cast comes off. It’s an area few therapists focus on, and gentle, knowledgeable attention there can feel wonderful.
In addition there are a few optional foot care add-ons. These can be added on to your treatment at the time of booking. Small things but your feet do a lot for you so worth ten minutes of attention. There is the callus peel, the soak and scrub and tidy toes (nails cut, shaped and filed, cuticles tidied, no polish – just neat comfortable feet.
